Vanessa's gardens grow strong

Vanessa Bob’s work on the community gardens was honoured earlier this year when she was named one of the Traditional Food Champions when awards were presented by the Vancouver Island Traditional Foods Network. The presentation was made during the Traditional Foods of Vancouver Island First Nations, hosted at Snuneymuxw in April. This summer, when Vanessa’s gardens were growing, she gave members of the Network a tour of her community’s collective green thumbs.
